This album is very important for me, because it's the first time I've seen music through all the way to the end, going through all the hoops to make it happen. The mixing, mastering, deadlines, licensing, promotion, all of it. It's the first time it feels like I've made music "for real," after putting it off for so long.
The album is an attempt to cast a wide net on my musical styles--from various flavors of chiptune and digital fusion to funk and intense electronic music, and some things I don't really know how to describe. It features three covers and three original songs; the covers represent my music-making roots, and the original songs represent what lies ahead.
If this is your first time learning about me or hearing my music, hello. I'm A.C.3, and music is very important to me.
Thank you for listening.
1. Sunset
A chillhop cover of National Park from Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal.
2. Logic Gate
A fast-paced electronic cover of Steam Gardens from Super Mario Odyssey with some retro flavor.
3. Campfire
A deeply emotional, lush electronic cover of The Requiem of Shield Knight from Shovel Knight.
4. Lemonade
An original song that I wrote in Renoise about lemonade. The renoise file will be available when the album launches.
5. Nerd Street
A funky SNES-style track made with Chipsynth SFC.
6. Stasis
A brisk yet melancholy piece. It was featured in the Infloresce Snowdrop Festival.
You can really feel Lindsay's love for the tracker and chiptune scene in this record. Amazingly well produced and filled to the brim with passion and influence. I especially love the look to the sky sample in the title track "Nectarine". Listened to this for free for far too long. Very happy to support this one. Gyldaria Tanogen
